Rua do Almada (Almada Street)
The basic idea for this work was to understand the relationship between the material and the hardware. With the name of the famous street of Porto where such hardware workshops were, in this work it was presumed to conjugate a material with hardware. In the work itself I ended up using MDF and decided to make several horizontal plans related to each other with extendable slides direction. Later I discovered similarities between my proposal and the work of Sebastian Errazuriz called Explosion, in which it is a piece of furniture in which the faces extend, and can "open" and "close" the piece by moving these parts. My piece, in specific, it has the facility to move in two directions.
